Petrissa's deep passion for building a more sustainable future led her from a PhD in Physics to a PostDoc in Sustainability to 5 years in management consulting at McKinsey&Company, where she helped clients navigate the energy transition, embrace big data/analytics and build innovation centers. As leader of sus.lab, she is excited to use her experience to work with an equally passionate team to accelerate progress towards a sustainable future.
Julia discovered her true passion for sustainability during her Masters in Management, Technology and Economics at ETH, preceded by a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering. In her master thesis and recent work experience she worked on process optimization and digitalization projects across supply chains at Airbus Helicopters and procurement teams within Siemens BT.
Christina`s previous experience with climate responsive building design and her education with an MBA in energy management and a bachelors in civil engineering, led her to focus her work on researching technologies and policies that drive decarbonization of the building stock. She is also engaged in projects relating to climate policy and circular economy.
Marija spent several years working for impact investment funds in microfinance, agriculture and climate and provided part-time support to sustainability-driven start-ups. In addition, she has 3 years of experience in structuring asset-based financing transactions for the energy and transportation sectors in an investment bank.
Inese is pursuing her PhD in negotiation and conflict management. She has spent two years working in management consulting, mainly developing strategy for healthcare and pharma companies. She has also worked with the World Trade Organization in Geneva.
Alex previously spent around 4 years as a management consultant at McKinsey&Company, where he worked primarily in electrical power, advanced electronics and industrial manufacturing sectors across Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa. He joins sus.lab for specific projects and is Managing partener at Übermorgen, a early stage VC fund backing entrepreneurs who develop profitable solutions to fight climate change.

Volker Hoffmann is Professor for Sustainability and Technology. His research at ETH Zurich centers on corporate strategies with respect to climate change, with a focus on climate policy, energy policy, and innovation.
Catharina has been a postdoc in the Group for Sustainability and Technology since January 2012. Her current research focuses on the sustainable circular economy and she is co-leading the NFP 73 project “TACLE”.
Nicola is a senior researcher at the Group for Sustainability and Technology and coach at STRIDE, an unschool for entrepreneurial leadership. She is and has been on the board and in the management of several ventures such as Impact Hub Zurich. Her current research focuses on the sustainable circular economy and she is co-leading the NFP 73 project “TACLE”.
