Decarbonizing dairy farms

COMPLETED (2020)

Within the context of a MSc thesis, we collaborated with Nestlé to identify the most promising levers to decarbonize dairy farms. Based on expert interviews and literature, we developed a model that assesses abatement potential and cost of different abatement options within a farm-specific context. We found that significant emissions reductions were feasible at negative costs. The full results can be found in the industry report “Towards climate positive dairy farms”.
