Petrissa's deep passion for building a more sustainable future led her from a PhD in Physics to a PostDoc in Sustainability to 5 years in management consulting at McKinsey&Company, where she helped clients navigate the energy transition, embrace big data/analytics and build innovation centers. As leader of sus.lab, she is excited to use her experience to work with an equally passionate team to accelerate progress towards a sustainable future.
Julia discovered her true passion for sustainability during her Masters in Management, Technology and Economics at ETH, preceded by a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering. In her master thesis and recent work experience she worked on process optimization and digitalization projects across supply chains at Airbus Helicopters and procurement teams within Siemens BT.
Christina`s previous experience with climate responsive building design and her education with an MBA in energy management and a bachelors in civil engineering, led her to focus her work on researching technologies and policies that drive decarbonization of the building stock. She is also engaged in projects relating to climate policy and circular economy.
Marian’s professional career has been defined by a deep desire for impact. This led him to working on venture building at the German utility innogy, before founding his own startup ucair, which increased photovoltaic yields using drones and AI data analytics. With the startup acquired, Marian completed his second Master studies in Behavioural Economics and Sustainability at the LSE and now joins sus.lab to lead the decarbonization efforts in various industries.
Dianne joined SusTec in 2019 for her Master thesis in collaboration with Nestlé, analysing the abatement potential and cost of greenhouse gas reduction technologies for dairy farming. Prior to her thesis, she did an internship in management consulting at BCG. Before coming to Switzerland, Dianne finished a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering at TU Delft in the Netherlands. She focusses on projects related to identifying pathways to reduce emissions to net zero.
Marija spent several years working for impact investment funds in microfinance, agriculture and climate and provided part-time support to sustainability-driven start-ups. In addition, she has 3 years of experience in structuring asset-based financing transactions for the energy and transportation sectors in an investment bank.

Volker Hoffmann is Professor for Sustainability and Technology. His research at ETH Zurich centers on corporate strategies with respect to climate change, with a focus on climate policy, energy policy, and innovation.
Dr. Catharina Bening
Catharina has been a postdoc in the Group for Sustainability and Technology since January 2012. Her current research focuses on the sustainable circular economy and she is co-leading the NFP 73 project “TACLE”.
Dr. Nicola Blum
Nicola is a senior researcher at the Group for Sustainability and Technology and coach at STRIDE, an unschool for entrepreneurial leadership. She is and has been on the board and in the management of several ventures such as Impact Hub Zurich. Her current research focuses on the sustainable circular economy and she is co-leading the NFP 73 project “TACLE”.

In his research Christof studies the complex interplay or co-evolution of technologies, business strategies, user practices, ecosystems, and institutional settings.
Dr. Johannes Meuer
Johannes’ research focuses on aspects of organizational design and innovation in the context of corporate sustainability. He draws on theories at the intersection of corporate sustainability, strategic management and technological innovation to investigate strategies for firms to integrate sustainability into their strategies and business operations.
