Knowledge transfer for net-zero pathways for Switzerland

As part of the ACHIEVE consortium, this project structures stakeholder engagement and knowledge transfer for achieving Switzerland’s net-zero target. The SWEET-funded ACHIEVE consortium, led by Empa, brings together research and industry partners to develop scalable solutions for hard-to-abate sectors and define actionable pathways toward climate neutrality.

The project ensures early co-creation of research priorities through problem-framing workshops with key stakeholders, aligning research activities with real-world needs and existing strategies. A collaboratively developed “give-and-take” matrix is used to clarify stakeholder needs, contributions, and roles, and is updated throughout the project.

Ongoing engagement activities, including webinars, panel discussions, conferences, and roundtables, enable continuous exchange between research, industry, policy, and society. Stakeholder input is systematically collected and integrated into the research activities to ensure relevance and practical applicability. Open communication channels and accessible project outputs support continuous dissemination of results.

In the final phase, targeted workshops and impact tracking activities assess uptake and support long-term implementation beyond the project duration. Continued engagement activities ensure that results remain accessible and actionable beyond the project lifetime.
